December 2011

I promise I will update this early 2012 but I did want to let everyone know how much all of us truly appreciate the loyalty of our fans and Chris's fans that have stuck with us. 2012 is already gearing up for the further adventures of ONE RIDE the musical. The producers tell me the show will make it's appearance summer 2012. I'm crossing my fingers and waiting on updates. Let's hope all works out and we can bring this awesome show out for everyone to see. Stay tuned, you're gonna love this!! Starting to book WU shows as well so keep an eye on the tour schedule and I hope to see you all down the road. Take care and be happy

Hello from the wide open spaces of Wyoming,

Well it sure has been a great year so far. On May 10th me and my wife, Morgan, got married! The wedding went great. We had the wedding in Kansas. Close by Morgan’s home town. Close family and friends gathered with us to celebrate.
We've had some good rain fall up here in Wyoming this spring. It's been awhile since we've seen this kind of moisture. The country side looks mighty fine. There is even some snow left on the mountain tops.
It's been a purdy busy summer with Western Underground. We've been flyin' all over the country playing our music. We all just love doin' what we do. Gettin' out there to you guys and playin' our music and gettin' to meet you all is a very neat thing. If it wasn't for you this whole thing wouldn't be happening. Thank You!
Hope to see you all at a Western Underground show near you. Thanks again for showing your support.

Thanks so much,
Ned LeDoux (1 of 2 of the two headed monster)

Well another year has come and gone. Where does the time go? We gathered some memorable moments in 2008 and appreciate everyone who came out to see us. With fuel prices as high as they were this summer, we realize the sacrifice many of you incurred to see us, and are grateful for your support.
There are several areas that we just don't get to as often as we would like, and we want to let all the fans know that we haven't forgotten you! Next year, maybe we can get some gigs in Texas, Oklahoma, and Missouri. It has also been a long time since we played in Tennessee, Florida, Georgia, and the Carolinas. We miss you folks out there! It couldn't hurt to call your local radio station and request some Western Underground music to get the ball rolling.
Have a happy holiday season and a healthy, prosperous 2009. I look forward to seeing old friends and familiar faces next year.
-Bobby

Dustin Evans

Hey there,

Dustin Evans here, and I just wanted to write a quick thank you for all the support you folks have given us over these past few years. I think everyone in Western Underground knew that continuing on without Chris was going to be extremely tough, but the friends' and fans' encouragement and support is what keeps it rolling along, and we truly appreciate that. On a personal note, I'm kind of the new guy in the group, so originally I was pretty concerned about being accepted as part of this outfit. However, now that I've been around with W.U. a little and seen the great relationships this band has with its audience, I'm confident that we could keep doing what we're doing for a long time to come.

Recording the Unbridled album was a great experience, and I'm really proud of that project. A lot of bands and artists use strictly studio musicians to record their albums, but this project (other than the occasional fiddle or steel part) was pure Western Underground. Putting it together was a blast. I'll always be a huge fan of Chris's music and do my very best to help bring his songs back to people in an honest way, but I'm also excited about the future of the group, and recording new music has allowed me to feel like a part of that.

This year has given us shows in Nevada, Colorado, Utah, Oregon, Montana, California, North Dakota, Wyoming, Kansas, Nebraska, and even my home state of South Dakota. If we come through your neck of the woods, or you feel like a road trip, come out and catch a show when you feel the need to "get a little Western."

God Bless!
Dustin

Howdy Kids this is your one and only K-Dub cruising at about 7000 feet.
I just made a right hand turn to Bozeman, I reckon its about 34 miles. Lookin' forward to hearin' John Bolinger, if we ever get this rig parked. Oh, I just lost my train of thought. I'm sittin' in a truck with a bunch a yahoos ya'll know as the western underground. We got the old crew chief with us on this run, Mr Fletcher. That would be K. Shayne to all you kids who don't know. I gotta bad moon a risin' on my right and Mr. Browning on my left, but he doesn't exist, as ya'll know. Got a show in Bozeman tomorrow, Billings the next, and Sunday I'm ridin' down to KayCee to buy a pickup from young Mr. Wilbur LeDoux. It will be part of my black fleet. Mr. K. Shayne and I will be driving that rig to Tennessee during the course of the next few days. I'll be parking it at my new home down by the river, as I recently sold my house on the hill. Last night and went to see the oldest of my 3 boys, Jazz, play with his Seattle based band, "Bens Jazz Kit" /myspace.com. He's a rockin' little fellar, mighty proud of him. Week before last, took my youngest son Nash out to the Rockies and did some serious mountain climbing, and managed to get him back to Nashville in time to start forth grade. Man, times flyin' by. He'll be 10 in October. Well kids, we're about to Bozeman now and I'm gonna bail out on ya. Ya'll have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. See ya in the movies,
Yer old pard, K-Dub.

It's been one hell of a year. I look forward to wearing out another sharpie. Next time I see ya, buy me an O'Douls. Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy new year.
